Tri-State Spring Chess Open

Open Division - $15 Entry Fee

Open to all.  Monetary prizes for top score in each class, top overall.

Prize fund equals 80% of open division entry fees collected.

Minimum of 5 players in each class or classes may be combined.

Four Rounds, Swiss System. USCF-Rated Game 70 minutes, Sudden Death

 

Scholastic Division - $15 Entry Fee

(12th grade and under) - 3 sections by school grade:

3rd and under: 15 Place, Top Unrated, Top Under 750; (1st and under: 3 Places)

6th and under: 15 Place, Top Unrated, Top Under 750

12th and Under: 15 Place, Top Unrated, Top Under 750

Top 5 Parent/Child Combined Performance Team Trophies

Top 3 School Teams Trophies per section

All players will receive at least a participation trophy.

Five Rounds, Swiss System. USCF Rated, Game 40 minutes each, Sudden Death

 

No onsite entries.  All entries MUST be done in advance.

 

Players Meeting begins at 8:45 A.M.   Round One starts at 9:00 A.M.

Following rounds begin ASAP.

Please bring your own chess sets for skittles and clocks for the rounds.

Notation will not be required or collected in the Scholastic Division.

Tournament entry fee: $15 per player, USCF membership required.  USCF membership available online at: http://uschess.org

(3rd grade and under may have their USCF membership fee waived,

email terry@evansvillechess.org for details. 

Also, a USCF Tournament Membership fee per player for a one day only USCF membership is available: Open Division is $12; $7 for Scholastic Division.)
